KNOCKOUT DRUM

Image
A  Knock-out  ( KO )  drum  consists of a horizontal  vessel  specially designed to separate vapor and liquid from a two-phase process flow. Inside you'll find an inlet diffuser and de-entrainment mesh pad designed to maximize the collection of liquid contained in the vapor as it travels to the top of the  vessel .

vacuum chamber

Image
A  vacuum chamber  is a rigid enclosure from which air and other gases are removed by a  vacuum pump . This results in a low-pressure environment within the chamber, commonly referred to as a  vacuum . A vacuum environment allows researchers to conduct physical experiments or to test mechanical devices which must operate in  outer space  (for example) or for processes such as vacuum drying or vacuum coating. Chambers are typically made of metals which may or may not shield applied external magnetic fields depending on wall thickness,  frequency ,  resistivity , and  permeability  of the material used. Only  some materials  are suitable for vacuum use.Chambers often have multiple ports, covered with  vacuum flanges , to allow instruments or windows to be installed in the walls of the chamber. In low to medium-vacuum applications, these are sealed with  elastomer   o-rings . In higher vacuum application...

Distillation fume absorption tower

Image
Equipment absorption, stripping',and distillation operation are usually carried out in vertical, cylinder columnar tower In  which device such as plates or packing elements are placed .The gas and liquid normally flow countercurrenty and the device serve to provide the contacting and development of interfacial surface through which mass transfer take place.

HEAT EXCHANGER

Image
A  heat exchanger  is a system used to transfer heat between two more fluid Heat exchangers are used in both cooling and heating processes. The fluids may be separated by a solid wall to prevent mixing or they may be in direct contact. They are widely used in  space heating ,  refrigeration ,  air conditioning ,  power stations ,  chemical plants ,  petrochemical plants ,  petroleum refineries ,  natural-gas processing , and  sewage treatment . The classic example of a heat exchanger is found in an  internal combustion engine  in which a circulating fluid known as  engine coolant  flows through  radiator  coils and  air  flows past the coils, which cools the coolant and heats the incoming  air . Another example is the  heat sink , which is a passive heat exchanger that transfers the heat generated by an electronic ...

Dispersing machine

Image
Dispersing systems are used to produce emulsions of two immiscible liquids or dispersions of solid particles in a liquid medium. The mixers generally operate on the rotor/stator principle and apply a high shear force on the suspended particles to break them down. The choice of a dispersion mixer depends on the physical state of the material being dispersed, continuous or batch nature of the process, desired particle size and the viscosity of the mixture. Dispersion mixers are widely used in the food industry for the dispersion of solid ingredients in oil or water and in the coatings industry for the dispersion of pigments.
